1. Must be at least 18 years of age at the time of entry and a legal resident
of the United States to be eligible. Winner need not be present at drawing.
Winner must provide a valid drivers license and social security number and be
eligible to claim ownership title. Winner’s ownership is NOT transferrable.
2. Tickets are $10.00 each or 3 for $25.00. There
is no limit of tickets that can be sold to an individual purchaser. Tickets
may be paid for in person by cash, check or debit card at the offices of the
Clark County Red Cross, 1805 East 8th Street, Jeffersonville, IN, 47130. Tickets
purchased offsite will be cash only transactions.
3. Raffle ticket sales will begin on Saturday, April
17, 2010, at Thunder Over Louisville, and end on Thursday, August 12, 2010,
when the winning ticket will be drawn.
4. Winner is responsible for any and all fees, taxes,
title and registration, insurance and shipping costs, and must sign a release
form before receiving the motorcycle.
5. Winner will take ownership of a 2009 Kawasaki 900
Vulcan Classic and must claim prize from S&S Power Sports, 700 E. U.S. Rte
31, Clarksville, IN, 47129, (812) 948-1621. Winner is responsible for pickup/delivery
of motorcycle.
6. Clark County (IN) Red Cross will not be liable
for any personal injury damage in relationship to this contest.
7. There will be no cash equivalent and/or gift card
payout in lieu of motorcycle.
8. For IRS requirements and Government rules governing
withholding of prizes won, check with a qualified financial advisor. The IRS
has taken the position that amounts paid for chances to participate in raffles,
lotteries or similar programs are not gifts and therefore the price of the entry
does not qualify as a deductible charitable contribution.
9. Winner will be contacted by phone and the winner’s
name will be posted to the following website no later than noon on August 13,
2010. Prize must be claimed within 72 hours of notification by original winner
or another name will be drawn and the new winner will be held to all official
rules. A new winner will be drawn until prize has been claimed.
10. Lost or stolen tickets are the responsibility
of the buyer. No exceptions.
11. Raffle tickets have no cash value and tickets
are not transferable. Each ticket is eligible for one prize only – a 2009 Kawasaki
900 Vulcan Classic motorcycle.
12. Upon issuance of a raffle ticket, all sales are
final and non-refundable.
13. Clark County (IN) Red Cross assumes no responsibility
for lost, late, misdirected, mutilated, incomplete, illegible or non-delivered
entries. Any mutilated, incomplete, or illegible entries will be deemed invalid
and shall be immediately disqualified.
14. Any unsold tickets become the property of Clark
County (IN) Red Cross.
15. Proceeds from this raffle benefit Red Cross disaster
services in Clark and Washington Counties in Indiana.
16. Employees of the Clark County (IN) Red Cross,
specified ticket agents and their immediate family are not eligible to win.
However, employees of other Red Cross chapters and Blood Services regions are
eligible. All Red Cross volunteers are also eligible to win.
17. To redeem a prize of two hundred fifty dollars ($250) or more IC 4-32.2-5-24 requires (1) the winner to provide their printed name, signature, and date of birth to the qualified organization conducting the raffle; and (2) the qualified organization must verify the identity of the prize winner using any reasonable means the qualified organization considers necessary.
